About this Stitch Pattern


The close check is a reversible checkered knitting stitch pattern. It consists of small blocks alternating between stockinette and reverse stockinette, giving it a pleasant texture. It’s a relatively easy pattern to knit and its geometric design is well suited to everything from blankets, to pillows, scarves, and washcloths.

  • Row 1: P3, *k3, p3; rep from * to end
  • Row 2: K3, *p3, k3; rep from * to end
  • Row 3: P3, *k3, p3; rep from * to end
  • Row 4: K3, *p3, k3; rep from * to end
  • Row 5: K3, *p3, k3; rep from * to end
  • Row 6: P3, *k3, p3; rep from * to end
  • Row 7: K3, *p3, k3; rep from * to end
  • Row 8: P3, *k3, p3; rep from * to end

Repeat rows 1 – 8 until you have reached your desired length.
