Woven Circles Cable Knitting Stitch Pattern

About this Stitch Pattern

The woven circles stitch is an all-over cable pattern. By placing winding cable columns next to each other strategically, the appearance of small circles is created. This gives the fabric a nice geometric design with lots of texture.

Use this stitch in scarves, pillows, or even a hat.

: Slip 2 st to cn and hold in back, k2, p2 from cn.

2 over 2 Left Purl Cross (T4F – Twist 4 Front)
: Slip 2 st to cn and hold in front, k2, p2 from cn.

Cast On: Multiples of 8 + 2

  • Row 1 (RS): P3, k4, *p4, k4; rep from * to last 3 sts, p3.
  • Row 2: K3, p4, *k4, p4; rep from * to last 3 sts, k3.
  • Row 3: P1, *2/2 RPC, 2/2 LPC; rep from * to last st, p1.
  • Row 4: K1, p2, *k4, p4; rep from * to last 3 sts, p2, k1.
  • Row 5: P1, k2, p4, *k4, p4; rep from * to last 3 sts, k2, p1.
  • Row 6: K1, p2, *k4, p4; rep from * to last 3 sts, p2, k1.
  • Row 7: P1, *2/2 LPC, 2/2 RPC; rep from * to last st p1.
  • Row 8: K3, p4, *k4, p4; rep from * to last 3 sts, k3.

Repeat these 8 rows until you have reached your desired length.
