Cast On: Multiples of 7 + 2

  • Row 1 (RS): P2, *k3, C2B, p2; rep from * to end
  • Row 2: K2, *p5, k2; rep from * to end
  • Row 3: P2, *k2, C2B, k1, p2; rep from * to end
  • Row 4: K2, *p5, k2; rep from * to end
  • Row 5: P2, *k1, C2B, k2, p2; rep from * to end
  • Row 6: K2, *p5, k2; rep from * to end
  • Row 7: P2, *C2B, k3, p2; rep from * to end
  • Row 8: K2, *p5, k2; rep from * to end

Repeat rows 1 – 8 until you have reached your desired length.

    I love this site – I’ve used many of the things you demonstrated in my knitting. Right now I am using the King Charles Brocade stitch on a scarf.

    You will find that style of cable needle much easier to use when you slip the stitches from the left needle on to the short side and work them off the long end.
