Stitch Description
The chevron rib stitch creates a knitted fabric with zig zag chevrons using only knits and purls. This bold geometric pattern alternates between lines of stockinette and seed stitch. The deliberate spacing creates the illusion of sharp angles. These are then bordered by vertical ribs, making the chevron rib stitch motif complete.
This textured pattern really works best in large pieces of fabric, including scarves, blankets, and sweaters.
