The Ridged Rib Stitch is a reversible broken rib style pattern that creates a waffle like texture. This stitch is useful when making blankets, bags, hats, scarves, and mittens. It can even be used for the cuffs of socks.

Cast On: Multiples of 2 + 1

  • Row 1: Knit all stitches.
  • Row 2: Knit all stitches.
  • Row 3: P1, *k1, p1; rep from * to end.
  • Row 4: K1, *p1, k1; rep from * to end.

Repeat rows 1 – 4 until you have reached your desired length.
