The Woven Rib Stitch is a simple rib pattern that puts a small twist on the traditional rib stitch. By adding slipped stitches a woven textured fabric is created. It’s perfect of manly scarves, blankets, and washcloths.

Stitch Pattern Instructions


Cast On: Multiples of 6 + 3

  • Row 1 (RS): P3, *sl 1 purlwise, yb, k1, yf, sl 1 purlwise, p3; rep from * to end
  • Row 2: K3, *p3, k3; rep from * to end
  • Row 3: *P3, k1, yf, sl 1 purlwise, yb, k1; rep from * to last 3 sts, p3
  • Row 4: K3, *p3, k3; rep from * to end
  • Repeat these 4 rows until you have reached your desired length.
