This knitting tutorial will help you learn how to knit the rose stitch. The rose stitch creates a criss cross design. The rose stitch would be great for hats, blankets, and scarves!

Pattern Instructions
Cast On: Panel of 8 sts.
- Row 1: (wrong side): K2, *p1, k1; rep from * to last st, k1.
- Row 2: K1, *K1B, k1; rep from * to end.
- Row 3: K1, *p1, k1; rep from * to end.
- Row 4: K1, *K1B, k1; rep from * to last st, k1.
Repeat rows 1-4 until you have reached your desired length.
Pattern didn’t show with variegated yarn. I knit up a swatch using plain light colored yarn and was able to see pattern then.
I did this pattern with a variegated purples and it turned out very nice. You do a great job with your instruction.

Thank you Johnny for posting the Rose stitch tutorial. I’m the one that asked you for it. I thought this stitch would be nice texture stitch and a good alternative to the seed or moss stitch but could never figure it out. Thanks to you now I can!
