Foundation Chain: Multiples of 17 + 15

Note:Work all stitches in the back loop

  • Prep: 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook, 1sc in each of next 5 ch, 3sc in next ch, 1sc in each of next 7ch, *skip next 2 ch, 1sc in each of next 7ch, 3sc in next ch, 1sc in each of next 7 ch; rep from * across, turn.
  • Row 1: working in back loops only, ch 1, skip first st, sc2tog next 2 sts, 1sc in each of the next 5sc, 3sc in next sc, *1sc in each of the next 7sc, skip next 2sc, 1sc in each of the next 7sc, 3sc in next sc,rep from * across to last 7sts, 1sc in each of next 5sc, sc2tog in last 2sc, turn

Repeat row 1 until you have reached your desired length.

    This is a great pattern but I found that on the last “7” stiches, I actually have 8. I made this up by doing 6 sc’s instead of 5. I’m wondering how many multiples of the chain should I do for a pretty nice adult blanket?

      I can not tell you that. It depends on how big you want to make it, what yarn you’re using, what hook you’re using, and at what gauge you crochet.

    hi everytime i ch 17 +15 at the end i am left with 6 not 7 so it doesnt work out right.how do i fix this?
