TECHNIQUES USED IN THIS STITCH:

Chain Stitch – Ch
Double Crochet-dc
Double Treble-dtr
Treble-tr

Skill: Intermediate
Foundation Chain: Multiple of 4 sts + 1. Add 2 for base ch.

Pattern Instructions

  1. Row 1

    (Right Side): 2dc into 3rd ch from hook, *ch, skip 5ch, 5dc into next ch; rep from * working only 3dc at end of last rep, turn.

  2. Row 2

    2ch (count as 1dc), skip 1st 3 sts, *work [3dc, 3ch, 3dc] into next 4ch arch**, skip next 5dc; rep from * ending last rep at **, skip 2dc, 1dc into top of tch, turn.

  3. Row 3

    6ch (count as 1dtr and 1ch), *5dc into next 3ch arch**, 4ch; rep from * ending last rep at **, 1ch, 1dtr into top of tch, turn.

  4. Row 4

    5ch (count as 1tr and 1ch), 3dc into next 1ch sp, *skip 5dc, work [3dc, 3ch, 3dc] into next 4ch arch; rep from * ending skip 5dc, work [3dc, 1ch, 1tr] into tch, turn.

  5. Row 5

    3ch (count as 1dc), 2dc into next 1ch sp, *4ch, 5dc into next 3ch arch; rep from * ending 4ch, 3dc into tch, turn.

Repeat rows 2-5 until you have reached your desired length.
