This color work stitch uses slipped stitches to add a little variation to a traditional horizontal color strip pattern. It’s a great stitch if your a beginner with color work and can be used in everything from socks to hats to scarves and blankets.

Cast On: Multiples of 3 + 3
TECHNIQUES USED IN THIS STITCH:
Knit – k
Purl – p
Slip Stitch – sl
Pattern Instructions:
Row 1 (RS): Using A, knit
Row 2: Using A, purl
Row 3: Using B, k1, sl 1, *k2, sl 1; rep from * to last st, k1
Row 4: p1, sl 1, *p2, sl 1; rep from * to last st, p1
Repeat these 4 rows until you have reached your desired length.
