This video knitting tutorial will help you learn how to knit the yarn over. The yarn over is a technique which forms the basis for most lace patterns. It is essentially a knitting increase that is formed by bringing the yarn forward when it is supposed to be behind. This ads an additional stitch when you continue knitting as normal. This also forms a small gap in the knitting which will form an eyelet, or hole. These holes are combined in various ways to form lace patterns.
