A Crochet Hook
TECHNIQUES USED IN THIS STITCH:
Tunisian Simple Stitch (Tss)- insert hook from right to left behind single vertical thread. yarn over hook, draw loop through and leave on hook, unless otherwise stated, the hook is always inserted in this way.
Tunisian Purl Stitch (Tps)- on forward half of row, bring yarn to front, insert hook in next vertical bar, bring yarn to back under hook, wrap around hook from back to front, draw yarn through st (purl made)
Basic Forward Row- working into back loop only of each ch, insert hook into 2nd ch from hook, yo, draw loop through and leave on hook. Insert hook into next ch, yo, draw loop through and leave on hook. Rep this in each ch to end. Don’t turn. The number of loops on hook should equal the number of sts required for the 1st row.
Basic Return Row- Step 1: yo, draw through 1 loop, (this ch forms the edge st). Step 2: Yo, and draw through 2 loops. Step 3: Rep step 2 until 1 loop remains on hook. Don’t Turn. The loop left on the hook is the 1st st of the next row.

Foundation Chain:Add any number of sts.
Pattern Instructions

Foundation Row
work a forward and return halves same as for TSS.

Row 1
(Forward Pass): Skip 1st st, *insert hook into 2nd vertical thread, draw loop through, insert hook into prev st and draw loop through; rep from * across to last st.

Row 1
(Return Pass): work off all loops as in TSS.
Repeat Row 1 forward and return pass until you have reached your desired length.
