The Rhombus Delight is a cable stitch pattern that is comprised of a cabled column, bordered by vertical pillars of twisted stockinette. The unique texture of the rhombus is created through twisted cable stitches, which use both knits and purls. The rhombus delight can be used as an all over pattern or you can pull out one repeat to be used as a panel stitch. Try this cable knitting stitch in blankets, pillows, or even a sweater body.
Row 1 (Right Side): *P1, k1 tbl, p1, k1 tbl, p1, T2B, k1, T2F; rep from * to end.
Row 2: *P5, k1, p1 tbl, k1, p1 tbl, k1; rep from * to end.
Row 3: *P1, k1 tbl, p1, k1 tbl, p1, T2B, k1, T2F; rep from * to end.
Row 4: *K1, p3, k2, p1 tbl, k1, p1 tbl, k1; rep from * to end.
Row 5: *P1, k1 tbl, p1, k1 tbl, p2, (k 3rd st on left hand needle, k 2nd st on left needle, 1st st on left hand needle, sl all 3 sts off together), p1; rep from * to end.
Row 6: *K1, p3, k2, p1 tbl, k1, p1 tbl, k1; rep from * to end.
Repeat rows 1-6 until you have reached your desired length.
