Purl 4 Together – Purl 4 stitches together as one stitch.

Make 1 – Work to the place where the increase is to be made. Insert the left needle from front to back into the horizontal strand between the two stitches. Knit the stitch through the back loop. On the purl side, insert the needle from front to back and then purl the stitch through the back loop.

Stitch Pattern Instructions

Cast On: Multiple of 4 sts.

  • Row 1(Right Side): p2, *yrn, p4tog; rep from * to last 2 sts, p2.
  • Row 2: k2, *k1, (k1, p1, k1) into the yrn of previous row; rep from * to last 2 sts, k2.
  • Row 3: knit.

Repeat rows 1-3 until you have reached your desired length.
