This crochet tutorial will help you learn how to crochet the side puffs stitch. This stitch creates a dense but delicate pattern with a lot of texture. The side puffs stitch would be great for cowls, scarves, and coffee cozies!
Side Puff-(you will be working over the bar of dc just made): [yo, pick up a loop around post of dc just made] 3 times, yo, draw through 6 loops on hook, yo, draw through last 2 loops.
Row 1: (Wrong Side): starting in 2nd ch from hook, 1sc in each ch across row, turn.
Row 2: ch 3 (counts as 1st dc), skip 1st sc, *1dc in next st, side puff over the dc just made, skip 1 st, rep from * across row, end 1dc in last st, turn.
Row 3: ch 1 (counts as a sc), skip 1st st, *1sc in the next puff st, 1sc in next dc, rep from * across, ending with 1sc in top of tch, turn.
Repeat rows 2 and 3 until you have reached your desired length.
