This crochet tutorial will help you learn how to crochet the cobweb stitch. This stitch creates a dense but delicate pattern with lots of texture. The cobweb stitch would be great for hats, blankets and afghans!
Row 1: (Right Side): Work 1sc into 2nd ch from hook, *skip 2ch, 1dc into next ch, 1ch, into same ch as last dc work [1dc, 1ch, 1dc], skip 2ch, 1sc into next ch; rep from * to end, turn.
Row 2: 4ch (count as 1dc, 1ch), 1dc into 1st sc, skip 1dc, 1sc into next dc, *1dc into next sc, 1ch, into same st as last dc work [1dc, 1ch, 1dc], skip 1dc, 1sc into next dc; rep from * to last sc, into last sc work [1dc, 1ch, 1dc], turn.
Row 3: 1ch, 1sc into 1st dc, *1dc into next sc, 1ch, into same st as last dc work [1dc, 1ch, 1dc], skip 1dc, 1sc into next dc; rep from * to end placing last sc into 3rd of 4ch at beg of previous row, turn.
Repeat rows 2 and 3 until you have reached your desired length.

Love your new ideas. I am using them to make an afghan with 2-3 rows of new stitches with one color, then changing colors and using a different stitch for 2-3 rows. I am having fun with it.
I really like the clear pictures and instructions. I would like it if there were a way to print out the picture with the instructions.
