TECHNIQUES USED IN THIS STITCH:

Chain Stitch – Ch
Single Crochet-sc
Double Crochet-dc
Slip Stitch-Sl st

Skill: Intermediate
Foundation Chain: Ch 6, join with a Sl st to form a ring.

Pattern Instructions

  1. Round 1

    ch 3 (count as 1st dc now and throughout), 15dc in ring, Sl st in 3rd ch of the beg ch 3 (16 dc counting the beg ch 3).

  2. Round 2

    ch 5 (counts as dc, ch 2), 1dc in 1st st (V st made), *ch 1, skip next dc, [1dc, ch 2, 1dc] in the next dc, rep from * 6 more times, join with a Sl st in 3rd ch of beg ch 5 (8 V sts made).

  3. Round 3

    Sl st in 1st ch 2 space, sh 3, [1dc, ch 2, 2dc] in same ch 2 space, *ch 1, skip next ch 1 space, [2dc, ch 2, 2dc] in next ch 2 space, rep from * 6 more times, Sl st in 3rd ch of beg ch 3.

  4. Round 4

    Sl st in the next dc and 1st ch 2 space, ch 3, work 6dc in same space as last Sl st, 1sc in next ch 1 space, [7dc in next ch 2 space, 1sc in next ch 1 space] 7 times total, Sl st in 3rd ch of beg ch 3, fasten off.
