Branched Cable Stitch

About this Stitch Pattern

The branched cable stitch creates a panel of twisted stitches that resemble a row of tree branches. Combining 3 and 4 stitch crossed cables, the change in sizes gives that twig and branch look to the fabric. This pattern also interrupts the cable stitches by transitioning abruptly to reverse stockinette, further implying the tree branch motif. It’s a nice cable panel useful as an accent in everything from scarves to sweater sleeves.
