The Cartridge Belt Rib Stitch is a mock rib pattern that is simple to knit. It creates a unique fabric with deep ridges that have a striking visual effect. The cartridge belt rib stitch has more defined ribbing than other rib stitches making it great for scarves, cowls, hats, and sweaters.
@DebbieConroy i don’t understand your question. the pattern is done over 4 sts, but needs 3 sts at the end to make it even. so you would cast on 16 sts + 3 sts for 4 repeats or 20 + 3 for 5 repeats. Does that make sense?
