This video knitting tutorial will help you learn how to knit the welt stitch. This pattern is essentially a horizontal rib. The alternating rows of knit and purls create a welted effect that gives a lot of depth and texture to your projects.

Skill: Beginner
Cast On: Any number of stitches
For this pattern you will need to know the following techniques:
Pattern:
Row 1: Knit all stitches
Row 2: Purl all stitches
Row 3: Knit all stitches
Repeat rows 1 – 3 until you have reached your desired length.
