Thank you. I have missed you! I do not understand why my e-mails stopped. I save every single one in a folder and refer back to the lessons often. Is there any way I can receive the ones I missed? The last one I received was April 25, the Princess Picot Edge Stitch.

My records show you’ve been sent every e-mail for months. Have you checked your spam folder?

You can always see our most recent stitches using the Blog link in the main menu, and you can see all of our stitches in the Video Stitchionary.

Life is what happens while you’re making plans. In addition to taking care of my sick mother, I have taken on the chores she used to pitch in with. Of course there is always the small chores that other family members don’t mind volunteering me for. I have only squeezed out the time to create a folder tagged ‘New Stitch A Day’ in which I can store your wonderful programs.

I just want you to know that I ADORE your emails, demonstrations etc. I am 67 and still working full time PLUS – and caring for my 90 year old Mother and 3 year old grandson, so as you can see, I get NOT ENOUGH time to dedicate to knitting and reading your treasured emails – but I save EVERY ONE and when I have a few minutes I read a few of them and watch the demos. Once my life calms down a little, I would like to subscribe to your paid information as well. After knitting since I was 8 years old, I never cease to be amazed at all the things I DON’T know and learn from your videos! Keep up the good work!!!

I don’t own a computer so I only have daily access during the school year. During vacation times I have to visit the library and only have a short allotted time to use one. Thanks…….

I love the New Stitch a Day. We travel to make our living and I place each and every New Stitch into my file for future reference. I am a self taught crocheter and knitter, and have added spinning and rigid heddle looming (until I can find a portable floor loom to fit in the motorhome!), to my relaxation therapy, so having these stitches for reference is a valuable boon to me. Thank you for providing it!!

I love this site! The truth is (I feel a bit guilty)……that I don’t knit in the hot summer months. I knit daily in the fall and winter months and most of the spring and I catch up on all my reading in the late spring and summer months. If I could only figure out how I can read and knit at the same time I’d have it made. Although I’ve sure tried, I haven’t come up with a way for me to do both simultaneously. Any suggestions? LOL

I love you emails. I’m in my 60′s and learnt to knit when I was 5′ish. Still learning new things. In the throws of renovating house I have just moved into. Soooo looking forward to knitting again, sick of paint, tiles, and the rest of it. Once again love your emails.

I have soooo much to do in the spring & summer months. My husband is disabled & can’t do the yard work or even much around the house. I love to knit. I am working on a doll I promised a co-worker eons ago. This winter will be so welcome this year. Will love to just curl up in front of the fireplace & knit to my hearts content. Thanks for your site, I have been saving all emails in a folder for when things slow down. Winter doesn’t last very long in Texas so I need to knit fast. LOL

    Hi Johnny,
Thanks for continuing to send me your wonderful emails with new stitches. I have them saved into a folder on my email account so that I can refer back to them later. The truth is that I’ve only just started to learn to knit (again) & I’m exceptionally slow. I also have dexterity issues which make me even slower & find it frustrating that I can’t go as fast as others. My mother taught me to knit when I was about 10 but I didn’t have the patience for it & have only recently taken it up again on the suggestion of the Pain Clinic as they say that the brain can only cope with concentrating on 1 thing at a time & so it’s a distraction to the pain. It’s a distraction alright because if I’m not doing it in a group, knitting in bed (I’m bed bound most days) I will fall asleep & drop all my stitches!

I have managed to complete 3 projects now, I’ve knitted 2 scarves, 1 for my nephew with pockets & 1 on a loom for my niece. My masterpiece though is a blanket I’ve knitted for my great nephew, it took me a year because I found it so difficult I put it away for about 8 months! I saw a star stitch in 1 of your emails & decided on that but it was my first project (after a banner practice piece) & in hindsight was not the best strict to start with but I’ve finished it now & although you can see a couple of mistakes in it, overall it doesn’t look that bad! I’m now knitting a traditional American cabin blanket (I think that’s it’s name) for my great niece. It’s based on squares but instead of knitting small squares you keep knitting on the same piece so that they are bigger squares. Then you don’t have so many to sew together at the end.

I do enjoy seeing your emails, so keep sending them please. Keep up the good work!
