How to Knit the Little Cable Stitch

This video knitting tutorial will help you learn how to knit the little cable stitch. This simple cabled fabric has tiny little twisted stitches that look like rows of little birds. It’s great as an accent to a sweater or in a blanket or scarf.

Skill: Intermediate
Cast On: Multiples of 6 + 2

For this pattern you will need to know the following techniques:
Knit – k
Purl – p
Left Twist – LT
Right Twist – RT

Pattern Instructions:

Row 1: Knit all stitches
Row 2: Purl all stitches
Row 3: P2, *RT, LT, p2; rep from * to end
Row 4: K2, *p4, k2; rep from * to end
Row 5: Knit all stitches
Row 6: Purl all stitches

Repeat rows 1 – 6 until you have reached your desired length.

@suzanneburke2004 I don’t understand your question. Does it relate to this stitch?

This pattern is going to be a real challenge for me.I think it is real pretty too. Also like the
New Stitch a Day web site. Have learned a lot from it.

This is a really simple stitch.  It adds a different texture to a other wise basic  stockinette stitch.  Thank for adding something else to my lust for learning.  ;)
