About this technique

The keyhole button hole is a technique to create a small button hole in your fabric. It’s quick and easy to knit and is perfect for placing a button hole between ribbing.

Technique Instructions

  • Step 1: Work in pattern until you reach the area where you would like to place the button hole, ssk
  • Step 2: K2tog, work in pattern to end of row
  • Step 3: Work to decrease sts of the previous row, Purl, cast on 2 sts

Continue to work in pattern until next buttonhole and repeat steps 1-3
