TECHNIQUES USED IN THIS STITCH:

Knit Stitch – K
Purl – P
Yarn Over-yo
Slip Stitch- sl st
With Yarn In Back (wyib)- Used with slip stitches, the yarn is carried across behind the stitch, on the side of the stitch that is away from the knitter. Whether it is a right or wrong side makes no difference.

Skill: Easy
Cast On:Multiples of 8 sts + 4.

Pattern Instructions

  1. Row 1

    (Wrong Side): K4, *p4, k4; rep from *.

  2. Row 2

    P4, *(sl 1 wyib, k1, yo, pass sl st over the knit st and the yo st) twice, p4; rep from *.

  3. Row 3

    K4, *p4, k4; rep from *.

  4. Row 4

    P4, *k1, sl 1 wyib, k1, yo, pass sl st over the knit st and the yo st, k1, p4; rep from *.

Repeat rows 1-4 until you have reached your desired length.
