The 2 x 2 rib stitch is a common pattern used for shaping in many knitted garments. It has a large amount of stretch which is great for fitted clothes.

Skill: Beginner

Cast On: Multiples of 4.

For this pattern you will need to know the following techniques:

Knit – k

Purl – p

Pattern:

Row 1: *K2, p2,* rep from * to end.

Repeat row 1 until you have reached your desired length.

After a few repeats your pattern should look like this:
