Double knitting live

Jan 31, 2013 by Claire

Excellent tutorials, I'm from the UK so the timings aren't good as I stayed up till 3am to watch the live broadcast so was incapable of knitting along but the instructions were so clear that i've managed to knit following the instructions since and the work has turned out as planned! Excellent show.

Feeling Great

Jan 29, 2013 by Carolyn

It was so exciting. By the end of the class I was double knitting. It was so satisfying to be able to see the rows progressing. I kept right on knitting after the class was over.
I joined the academy . . . and now I look forward to the next class.

Thank you for the class. I enjoyed learning about double knitting.

I can hardly *believe it*!

Jan 26, 2013 by MaryC

I actually DID it! I'm a lot more comfortable with crocheting than knitting, but... I did *exactly* what he said to do - and I came out *right*! :-) The class gave me several options to try - I was able to complete a nice swatch - will practice just a bit more before I try out the actual patterns - but, I'm *doing it*! Thanks so much - you give me confidence that maybe I *can* become a 'knitter'!

Response: Awesome! So glad you\'re on your way!

Neat introduction!

Jan 26, 2013 by NaniBly

Thank you for this introduction to DK! This is a neat technique that looks complicated but you simplified so even beginner me was able to follow along.
You mentioned that a type of DK is used to knit two socks at once. To knit my own socks is the reason I started knitting. I am practicing frequently become an intermediate knitter so I can make my first pair, but I would really like to learn the double sock technique. I hope you will offer a class on that too.
Many thanks!

As an Academy Member, I'm amazed at each new video, Johnny. The money spent in being a member was well worth the time and work you have put into each video to help those wanting to learn new knitting stitches and techniques.

Keep up the great work. I look forward to our next class.

First time I tried double knitting, so it was just a little hard to keep on same speed. But nonetheless I got what was most important. Thank you for these classes and letting me become a happier knitter. :)
