6 Different Cardigan Patterns for Kids: This Week In Stitches

This week in stitches features…

  • 6 Different Cardigan Patterns for Kids
  • The Subscriber of the Week
  • Live Bind Off Class
  • and all of this week’s stitches

If you just can’t wait for This Week in Stitches each week, and you want even more fun, interesting links than the few we highlight here, follow @newstitchaday on Twitter or join our Facebook page. It’s painless. Really.

It’s been another great week at NSAD and we’re working on a lot of new things behind the scenes. Things that will make the site even more useful as well as new patterns, new classes, and a few more surprises. You’ll hear more about those in the coming weeks but right now we’re gearing up for our next live class.

Don’t forget to answer our question of the week at the bottom of this post!

Welcome to Our New Email Subscribers

We had amazing week with 199 people coming on board the New Stitch a Day email list! That’s been more than 1500 in the month August and our biggest month ever! Great job to all of you who are telling your friends about the site on Twitter, Facebook, Ravelry, Knitting Paradise, Pinterest, and at your local yarn stores. Keep up the good work!

Registration for Our Next LIVE Class Is Now Open!!!

I’m so happy that our first class, The Ultimate Guide to Knitting Cast Ons (Part 1), was received with such a great response. We had an almost full class and it was nice to finally talk to and even see some of our subscribers. I actually threw in a few tips on fixing common problems with casting on, and a bonus cast on. We did have time to fit them all, so I stuck around longer so we could get them all in. If you missed it you can still pre-order the recording here.

BIG NEWS!! We’re dropping the price of all our LIVE classes from $30 to $20. That’s more than 30% off! We got lots of feedback saying that was what you were willing to pay for a class and we’re giving you what you’ve asked for!

I can’t wait for the next class on Saturday, September 8th:

Subscriber of the Week

This week’s subscriber of the week is Anthony.

He took our feather and fan stitch tutorial and made this lace shawlette.

I am really amazed how he used the patter to create this shawl and also added a lace edge to it. I decided to make Anthony our subscriber of the week.

Please congratulate Anthony in the comments!

If you want to be considered for the subscriber of the week, send some photos of your work to johnny[at]newstitchaday[dot]com or respond to any of our newsletters.

You can also tweet a photo to us on Twitter or with the hashtag #newstitchaday on Instagram.
